Welcome to my new look website!
The past two years have been really busy for our family.
In January 2005 we welcomed our third baby boy, Adam, into our
family.
Then in June 2006 I produced the BIRTHday Festival for Friends
of the Birth Centre Queensland and later in the year organised the
Queensland event for National Caesarean Awareness Day.
Last year I helped organise the Moving on After a Challenging Birth
Seminar in conjunction with
Birthtalk and took on some arts marketing work with Flipside
Circus.
What was particularly tough last year was finding out that our son
Daniel has Autism Spectrum Disorder. With looking after Daniel and
his brothers, and now part time work as a research assistant at
Griffith University as well as my commitments as National President
of Maternity Coalition, music has had to take a back seat for
awhile.
I'm still singing at the Vineyard church we attend when I can and
plan to record again in the next year or so but at the moment God
has a different path for me.
Last year I added my children's birth stories to this site. They are
a testimony to God's love and grace. For anyone who
has experienced a traumatic birth, these stories are for you!
I hope they give you the courage to explore your own experiences and
inspire you to be empowered for future births.
This year I'm adding two articles I have written this past year for
Natural Parenting magazine. They are about our family' journey with
Daniel.
There are still 30 copies left of Stranger's City. (You
can download an MP3 of Letter to my unborn child
(track 2 on the CD)
here for FREE!).
Come back and visit again to see what I'm up to. I'll try and keep
this page a bit more up to date in future : ).
cheers,
